Christy is a native Jeffersonian and has been married to her husband Michael for 22 years.  She is the owner of Burleson Insurance Agency and is an agent for Farmers Insurance.  Christy was recently honored as Agent of the Year.  She and her husband Michael have two children, Macie and Lane.  Christy enjoys reading, remodeling homes, family time and traveling.

I am a native of Cass County and have lived in the Jefferson area for 28 years.  I have been in the banking industry for 33 years.  Married to John Minter, with one daughter, McKenzie Minter.  Some of my volunteer activities have included PTA, Girl Scouts, Marshall-Harrison Literacy Council, Junior Achievement of East Texas, Marshall Metro Rotary Club.  I was not a board member of the Marshall Chamber, but I was active in the chamber and attended as many ribbon cuttings and other functions as possible.  I have also done several educational programs in the school system like “Teach Children to Save” and have conducted Elderly Financial Abuse educational meetings for many years.

Doug Thompson – Angell Manor Bed and Breakfast

Doug has been in Sales and Marketing, at an executive level, for over 45 years. He and his wife Shirley moved to Jefferson 3 years ago, bought Angell Manor and converted it back into a thriving Bed & Breakfast. Doug is very involved as a volunteer in Jefferson as a member of Rotary, on the board of Jefferson Historical Foundation, Marion County Chamber of Commerce’s current Vice President and most recently was appointed the Treasurer of JEDCO.

Mark McKay – KTAL News

Mark is an accomplished Senior Executive and Board Member, with demonstrated success across the television, radio, and marketing industries. Leveraging extensive experience turning around broadcasting companies, he is a valuable asset for small to midsized marketing, creative, and leisure companies seeking assistance with problem solving, and monetizing unique commodities. His broad areas of expertise include advertising sales, media planning and social media marketing.

Throughout his executive career, Mark has held leadership positions with Nextstar Broadcasting Group, Ubiquity Communications Inc., and Warwick Communications Inc. In his current role as Vice President and General Manager of Nextstar Broadcasting Group, he has been responsible for overseeing important segments for the largest TV station operator in the country, with 171 full power television stations in 100 markets, reaching nearly 40% of US households. He has also been responsible for helping grow the company a task he accomplished by delivering exceptional service to communities and extraordinary results for advertisers. He also has been responsible for helping local businesses, advertisers and brands further connect with their local communities.

In a concurrent role as President of Ubiquity Communications Inc., he has been responsible for establishing a holding company for oil and gas investments. Prior to his current role, Mark held the position of Vice President and General Manager of Warwick Communications Inc. He also held operational, programming and promotional management positions for Clear Channel Television and Communications Corp. of America.

Paul H. Moore –  The 205 Venue, Cabaret Dinner Theatre – The Works

Paul grew up in Smithland, Texas and graduated from Jefferson High School.  He
was a press corp. reporter in the U.S. Army in Vietnam.  He then became the editor of the 6&10 News Cast.  Paul served as a business insurance executive for many years, but has most recently worked as a residential building contractor.  He was CEO of The Louisiana HOme Builders Insurance Group for (11) eleven years.  As a philanthropist he held the title of “District Governor Lions Club International”.  Today you will find his title as “Artistic Director” for The Cabaret Dinner Theatre.  The venue has brought many to Jefferson from 50 miles away.  Paul is married to Janet Moore, they have two children and five grandchildren.

Steve Woodson – Samsung NeuroLogica Sales

Steve was born in Tulsa, OK, but soon moved to Southeast Texas.  He graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center with a degree in Radio-Biology.  Steve grew up playing hockey, is an avid cyclist, and outdoorsman.  Steve and his wife, Christy, moved to Jefferson in 2015 and own Lookaway Lodge on Caddo Lake.  The Lodge is a VRBO where Steve and Christy also offer guided boat tours on Caddo and Big Cypress.

Sharon Bonner-Goolsby – First Pediatrics Home Health Care, Inc. and Port Jefferson Outpost

Sharon graduated from Jefferson High School, and received her Bachelors from East Texas Baptist University.  Sharon is married to James Goolsby and they have a very large family, including multiple furry feline children.  She is co-owner and Administrator of First in Pediatrics Home HEalth Care, Inc.  Sharon also owner of Port Jefferson Outpost, LLC, and a business associate of The Old Store & Fudge Shop and Estate Sales.  Sharon has a total combined 24 years of experience in homehealth care. She is actively involved in multiple community volunteer groups.

Jonah Kral – Enoch’s Wine & Coffee House Co-Founder

Graduate of Pepperdine University.  Co-Owner of Enoch’s Wine & Coffe House located in Jefferson.

Bruce Boyd – Transet Company

Bruce studied Law and Society at Purdue University, and Criminal Juistice at Central Texas College.  He has been a military police investigator, Senior NCOIC homicide and narcotics, Senior NCOIC attached to the DEA, and is an Elder at Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Jefferson.  He has been a general contractor superintendant for over 27 years, and is currently Senior Project Superintendent for Transet Company based in Longview. Bruce is married to Melissa Boyd and has four children.
