Jefferson Texas Annual Christmas Parade
Each year while the town of Jefferson is alive with the holiday spirit the Chamber hosts a Christmas Parade that is one of the delights of the season. Venture out to see Santa riding on a Fire Truck, cars carrying the royalty of Jefferson in every age group, listen and enjoy the school band as they march down the street, experience the beauty of vintage cars, motorcycles and even golf-carts as they slowly drive downtown. One of the highlights of the season!
Christmas in Jefferson Texas
Family friendly Christmas Parade
Parade starts downtown at 6PM – Rain or Shine
The Parade will begin downtown and travel through Jefferson, ending at the Lions Club Park for the Tree Lighting Ceremony that welcomes the Christmas Season. Mrs. Fran Hurley, of KMHT Radio will MC our colorful floats as they pass through on Austin Street.
Tree Lighting Ceremony will be immediately after the parade circles the Lions Park.
The Enchanted Forest is the epicenter for the lighting of the City of Jefferson for Christmas. There will be many dignitaries present, including the mayor, the High School Band, and a white-bearded fellow from the North Pole. Visitors to the city walk through the Enchanted Forest throughout the holiday season, and it is one of the most beautiful sites in the city! You will enjoy the Mims Chapel Choir and local churches will be providing warm cocoa, cider and cookies.
